Sorting information and presenting data!
P3/4 enjoyed an exciting, kinesthetic and visual sunny outdoor lesson today during maths. First, pupils had the opportunity to learn about inputting data into tables using tally marks. Then they did some indoor activities to consolidate learning before taking their learning into a new context where they could work together to transfer their skills. Pupils were able to support and extend one another's learning for example, one child said to their partner (who was counting each individual tally mark instead of counting in 5's) "You count like this, 5, 10, 15". This lesson made maths real, fun, purposeful and stimulating!
