Harvest Thanksgiving in our Community

Tuesday 13th October 2015

Each of our classes performed a special harvest-themed item in the form of song, drama and poetry for the whole school, giving thanks to God for the blessings he has given us. Some of Primary 7 directed the procedings and led us in prayer too.

Later in the day, Primaries 5, 6 and 7 went to visit the folk in St. Macartan's Nursing & Residential Home and then onto Clogher Valley Health and Day Care Centre. We brought the residents gifts of fruit, vegetables and flowers. Afterwards, we sang harvest hymns and the brass group played some favourite melodies. Finally, we were glad to take time to shake hands and chat to the residents. Thank you to the staff at both places: we had a great time!
